In 2022, he began his art practice by installing an edition of 25 sculptures, around the streets of New York, leaving them for anyone to take.
For Pitters, no individual is out of bounds. He has employed his hyper-local radar to feature himself and friends as tables. He also customizes sculptures to embrace brands and celebrities.
Pitter Patter’s work expresses a love of authenticity, irreverence, and ideas in which anyone can truly take part. “All walks of life are welcome and encouraged to become tables,” says Pitters. “I thrive on bringing different people together and pursuing projects that make me smile. I think it’s important for art to put itself in someone else’s shoes.”
Pitters studied Fashion at Oregon State University with a specific interest in costume design. Inspired by characters on 1980s TV shows like Pee Wee’s Playhouse and his mother’s artistic friends, Pitters has been making and selling his art on the street since he was six years old. He cites his biggest influence as Mr. T.
